PERRIN, ANTOINE, huissier royal, fils de Jacques Perrin, notaire tabellion de la paroisse Saint-Pierre de Monastier, Le Puy-en-Velay, et de Catherine Boissières, baptisé en 1697, décédé probablement à Montréal, vers 1738.

Perrin est peut-être venu au Canada comme soldat : c’est du moins comme tel qu’on le retrouve en 1719 alors qu’il reçoit la commission « d’huissier exploitant dans l’étendue de la juridiction de Montréal ». L’intendant Bégon* écrit de lui, dans sa lettre du 26 octobre 1722, qu’ « il a une bonne volonté mais peu de capacité ; sujet à boire ».

Le 25 juin 1720, il épouse Marie-Anne Chotard, fille de Jean-Baptiste Chotard et de Marie-Catherine Fortin de Lachine, et ils auront sept enfants. À titre de douaire coutumier, Perrin lui donne 400#, tandis que Jean-Baptiste Chotard s’engage à fournir une dot de peu d’importance pour sa fille. Quelques années plus tard, il fait preuve de sens pratique, lorsque, le 16 mars 1729, il se désiste « du procès criminel par luy intenté » contre le forgeron François Jobin, qui l’avait « insulté et frappé », et consent à oublier l’insulte moyennant 60#.

Perrin mourut probablement en ou vers 1738, dernière année où il remplit la charge d’huissier : sa veuve se remarie en 1741 avec Jacques Rondort.
