HUDSON, JOHN, fils de Henry Hudson, accompagna son père dans ses voyages dans les régions polaires (1607) et la Nouvelle-Zemble (1608) ; 1592( ?)–1611 ( ?).
John Hudson ne fit pas partie de l’expédition commanditée par les Hollandais qui explora la rivière Hudson, mais il était sur le Discovery lors du dernier voyage de son père (1610–1611). Bien qu’il n’eût que 19 ans, les mutins le jetèrent pardessus bord ; ils redoutaient sans doute l’effet de son témoignage s’ils lui conservaient la vie. Asher n’est pas convaincu de la parenté des deux Hudson, malgré le témoignage de Purchas à cet égard.
