BAILLOQUET, PIERRE, prêtre, jésuite, né à Saintes, en France, le 14 octobre 1613, décédé à la mission Saint-François-Xavier, chez les Outaouais, le 7 juin 1692.
Pierre Bailloquet entra dans la Compagnie de Jésus à Bordeaux le 17 novembre 1633. Il enseigna à Bordeaux et à Poitiers avant de se rendre à Québec, où il arriva en juin 1647. Durant 45 ans, il se dévoua auprès des colons français et des tribus indigènes dans les missions s’étendant de Port-Royal, en Acadie, jusque chez les Sioux, en Illinois.
