DCB/DBC participates in 2013 conference of francophone organization

On 7 May the DCB/DBC took part in the 81st conference of the Association francophone pour le savoir, held at the Université Laval in Quebec City.

During the session, “Le Dictionnaire biographique du Canada/Dictionary of Canadian Biography et les défis du nouveau millénaire,” members of the two teams gave an overview of the project's history, focusing on the crucial years 1989–94, and described how the DCB/DBC has made the transition from print to online while maintaining the high academic and editorial standards that have been integral to its work from the beginning. A demonstration of the new website concluded the afternoon.
